Yes, you can travel with your medication, but there are a few guidelines to follow:

  1. Temperature Control:

    • Keep your medication under 30°C. If it goes above 30°C Where possible, keep your medication in a cool bag when travelling.

    • For Mounjaro, if exposed to temperatures above 8°C and not refrigerated, it must be used within 21 days.

    • For Wegovy, if exposed to temperatures above 8°C and not refrigerated, it must be used within 28 days.

  2. Air Travel:

    • Carry your medication in its original packaging with the pharmacy label clearly visible for airport security. This is so that airport security can verify the medication has been dispensed by a registered pharmacy.

    • Keep needles sealed and placed in hold luggage and the pen is stored in hand luggage (as it may freeze if kept in hold).

  3. Check Travel Regulations:

    • Review specific travel advice for your destination and airline to ensure compliance with any additional requirements.
