We recommend storing your medication in the refrigerator as much as possible so that it's most likely to remain safe for use. Here’s a guide on how to store Wegovy and Mounjaro safely:

Wegovy:

  • Before Opening: Keep your Wegovy pen in the refrigerator (2-8°C) as soon as you receive it. It will be safe to use until its expiry date if stored this way.

  • After Opening:

    • Refrigerated (2-8°C, away from the cooling element so it doesn't freeze): Use the pen within 6 weeks.

    • At Room Temperature (<30°C): If stored outside the fridge, use it within 28 days.

    • Important: Do not use the pen if it’s been exposed to temperatures over 30°C, has been frozen, or if the liquid appears cloudy. Dispose of it in a sharps bin.

Mounjaro:

  • Before Opening: Store Mounjaro pens in the refrigerator (2-8°C) to last until the expiration date.

  • After Opening:

    • Use within 30 days, whether refrigerated or not.

    • At Room Temperature (<30°C): If not refrigerated, ensure the temperature stays below 30°C.

    • Important: If exposed to temperatures above 30°C or if the pen is frozen or dropped on a hard surface, do not use it. Dispose of it safely in a sharps bin. Always store pens in their original packaging to protect from light.
