If you enjoy a range of different activities and would like this to be reflected on the Second Nature app, you can do this by converting these activities into step counts.

You can use the chart below to determine the equivalent number of steps for your chosen activity.

Simply multiply the amount of time you did the activity by the number of steps indicated on the chart. For example, 30 minutes of mopping equals 2,550 steps (30 minutes x 85).

If your activity isn't listed, find the one(s) most similar to it on the list and estimate the activity’s step value. You can also estimate steps by knowing that 2,000 steps is equal to one mile.

To add your steps from your activity in the Second Nature app, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Second Nature app

  2. From the Home screen, select the 'Track' icon from the bottom toolbar in-app

  3. Select 'Steps' at the top of the page

  4. Select 'Add steps manually'

  5. Enter your steps reading & date

  6. Select 'Add'

Note: Please make sure to manually enter your steps retrospectively (e.g. on Tuesday enter the total steps you did on Monday).

Please also make sure to add your steps for your exercise to the day's total step count and add this total number retrospectively in order to not lose the existing step count.

For example, if your account had already tracked 1,000 steps for the day, and you wanted to add the 2,550 steps from mopping, you'd add 3,550 steps in total.
